Updated for 2020~~ Wanting to get away this summer but not sure what to pack? I’ve got your back! As a plus-size traveler I know how hard it can be to find easy to wear, versatile clothes that earn their suitcase real estate! I’ve gone through and found some of my FAVES. Best part? They are versatile, affordable and plus size! Read on to see the perfect plus size summer packing list!

Ok so let’s start with some logistics: This is based on a 7-10 day trip. That means you COULD double it for a longer trip, but the pieces are so versatile you could easily launder them halfway through and mix and match them differently to get another week or more out of them.
This list will NOT include basics that aren’t plus-size fashion related (like socks and underwear), but check out this list of the most forgotten items for your trip to make sure you’re covered!
Packing Theory
Pick a color palette that mixes and matches easily with each other. I like to suggest 2-3 neutrals (ex. black, white, navy, khaki, grey), 2-3 colors that coordinate well with each other, and a couple prints or statement pieces that also have some of those colors in them. Trust me, I know this sounds like a lot of planning but it really makes packing easier, and you’ll feel pulled together and photo-ready everyday without spending ages looking for a ‘perfect outfit’ or having to pack 150 items for two weeks.
For this plus size summer packing list, every single item (at time of writing) was available in the US on Amazon Prime, and they all have 4 star reviews or greater. I want to make sure you find things that are quality and can arrive quickly! If you’re looking for other shops to find similar items, I love SheIn as well, but shipping takes a little longer.
Plus Size Summer Packing List:

So for this packing list, you can see I chose mostly black, navy and white with a few pops of pinks in a couple of the tops. If you look at the options, you can see endless possibilities for mixing and matching. Pieces work for very casual days or a dinner out.
The accessories and shoes also mix and match and pull double-duty. The crossbody bag is anti-theft and small enough to look dressy for evenings.
I would suggest doubling up on a couple of the tops (add in some extra colors) like the tees and tanks, especially if you’re gone for more than a week. A few extras will allow you even more mixing and matching options.
